STEEL CITY KIZOMBA

Steel City Kizomba is a dance company based in Pittsburgh, PA that teaches and promotes African dance and culture in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.

Mike David is owner and director, and has trained nationally and internationally in Kizomba and Semba, plus other African dances such as Soukous, Chakacha, Afrohouse. He’s also completed the Semba instructor course by the Fantastic 4 (Paulo, Lanna, Miguel, and Susana) in Lisbon, Portugal, as well as the Kizomba and Semba Teacher training course with Mestre Petchu. Mike is known in the dance community for his smooth style and love of music and dance.

Mike (aka DJ D’Aço) is also an experienced DJ in the Kizomba community, having played at numerous parties, events, weekenders and festivals, locally, across the country, and internationally.  

He has been part of various events such as the former UNY Latin Dance Festival, Cleveland Dancefest, the St. Louis Afro-Latin Dance Festival, Salsa Fuego Pittsburgh, Kizomba Harmony African Dance Experience in Cancun, Mexico, the DC Capital Congress, Baltimore Salsa Congress, SBK Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Kizonto in Toronto, Canada, and other parties, events, weekenders and festivals around the country.
