 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION and FAQ’s

  • A silent disco is a type of party or event where people dance to music that is broadcast through wireless headphones instead of traditional loudspeakers.

    Here’s how it works:

    • When you arrive, you get a pair of headphones.

    • Multiple DJs (or music channels) are usually playing at the same time, and you can switch between them on your headphones.

    • Each channel has a different color light on the headphones (like blue, green, or red), so you can see what others are listening to.

    • To outsiders, the room looks quiet—people are dancing without audible music—but inside the headphones, it’s a full-on dance party.

    Silent discos are popular for:

    • Noise restrictions (like outdoor festivals or venues with curfews).

    • Multi-genre parties (In the case of our Weekender, the Latin channel will be mostly Bachata, Merengue and Salsa, while the Kizomba Channel will be mostly Kizomba, Semba, Zouk and Konpa).

    • Unique experiences (funny to watch and super immersive for participants).

  • There's a parking garage between fourth and fifth avenues (about a block away from the studio) that is $7 on weekends, as well as a number of garages within a short walk. Street parking is also available, usually free after 6pm.

  • We do not have a hotel room block this year, however there are a number of hotels in downtown Pittsburgh, some within walking distance. There are also hotels in the surrounding areas, within 20 minutes of the venue. Airbnb is also an option.

  • Downtown Pittsburgh is full of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the venue. Some establishments in downtown close early, so plan accordingly. The studio is BYOB.
